Business IT security improvements
Security improvements need to work with the way your business operates. SyncrionIT reviews the agreed environment, prioritizes changes, and implements approved access and device controls with testing and a clear handover.
Identify the gap and the person responsible for fixing it
We begin with the concern and the systems involved: inconsistent multi-factor authentication, uncontrolled administrator access, unmanaged computers, overdue maintenance, or uncertainty about who handles alerts. Existing tools and responsibilities are reviewed before a new product is proposed.
The output separates a configuration change from a larger project or a question for a specialist. Priorities consider the business impact, operational dependencies, and what can be validated within the approved scope.
- Administrator and employee access arrangements
- Multi-factor authentication and account-recovery methods
- Device-management, encryption, and update status
- Endpoint protection coverage and alert ownership
- Departing-user access and documented exceptions
Roll out changes with a pilot and recovery access
A control that unexpectedly blocks staff can become an operational problem. We identify representative users and devices, confirm supported configurations and licensing, and test the planned changes before a wider rollout. The business knows what users will see and where to get help.
For access changes, the plan includes authorized recovery access and a way to respond if a legitimate workflow is interrupted. Exceptions have an owner and a review point, rather than becoming undocumented permanent workarounds.
Confirm the control works and assign continuing ownership
Validation is tied to the control being implemented. For example, an agreed sign-in check should demonstrate that the required verification is enforced, while a device check should show the expected configuration. Buying or installing a tool is only one part of that outcome.
The handover records coverage, exceptions, limitations, and who handles ongoing updates or alerts. If the business needs SyncrionIT to maintain agreed controls, that responsibility is set out in the managed-service scope. A one-time project ends with explicit ownership of the next steps.
What the business receives
The written estimate confirms the deliverables for your engagement. Depending on the agreed scope, these include:
- Prioritized changes for the reviewed systems
- Approved rollout and user communication plan
- Validation results, coverage records, and documented exceptions
- Administrator handover and ongoing ownership requirements
Before we start
A short description is enough for the initial conversation. The following information helps define the work; you do not need to have every answer ready.
- The concern or finding prompting the project
- Current cloud platforms, devices, and security tools
- People who can approve policy and access changes
- Critical applications and workflows that need testing
Project work starts with a written estimate. Changes to the approved scope are discussed before additional work proceeds. View pricing.
Scope & expectations
This is scoped technical improvement work. Active incident response, penetration testing, formal compliance certification, and insurance determinations require separately defined expertise and engagements. Product licenses and ongoing monitoring responsibilities are specified in the agreement.
Common questions
Do we need to replace our current security tools?
Not necessarily. The review first establishes the coverage, configuration, and ownership of the existing tools. Recommendations may involve improving their use or resolving a gap, depending on the evidence.
Can you implement recommendations from another assessment?
Yes. SyncrionIT can review the findings, confirm the relevant dependencies, and estimate the technical implementation within its agreed scope. Specialist findings may require coordination with their author or another provider.
Is endpoint protection included in IT support?
No. Support is provided on request and does not include endpoint protection or monitoring. Deploying and configuring endpoint protection can be scoped as a project, and ongoing monitoring requires a separate arrangement.
